Since 1999, Pantone has charged global color experts at its Pantone Color Institute with selecting an annual color as a way “to engage the design community and color enthusiasts around the world in a conversation around color.” Looking at the trends and what’s happening in fashion, entertainment and beyond, they select a color they believe represents the culture that year.
This week, the color experts at Pantone announced the 2024 Color of the Year. Peach Fuzz is described as “a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul.”
The soft shade is meant to inspire tenderness and represent “caring and sharing, community and collaboration” — things we could all use right now.
