Racism has no age limit. It can come from a young student in middle school, or an elderly person living in a nursing home. Don’t believe me?

Recently, the Rocky Mountain NAACP requested that local, state, and federal authorities launch a probe after a student at West Middle School in Colorado was seen going on a racist tirade on video.

In the video, the student allegedly used several racial slurs and threatened to kill Black people. Specifically, the Rocky Mountain NAACP claims that the student said, “They should not be alive right now,” when referencing Black people, according to KDVR.

While the video itself is riddled with racist diction and behavior, the civil rights organization is accusing the student of doing much more.

The NAACP further claimed that white students at the school have been handing out “Black card passes,” which permits them (in their eyes) to use the n-word while at school.

But the racist behavior still did not end there.

More from KDVR:

The Rocky Mountain NAACP shared that on Sept. 26, the student who saw the video being shared on the bus came into direct contact with the student who made the racist video. The video maker did not apologize for his words, the NAACP said.

After this, the reporting student began to have nightmares and said they didn’t feel safe at school or on the school bus with the offending student and supporters around.

The Rocky Mountain NAACP further shared that since the video began to circulate, classmates have begun to send the reporting student pictures of minors’ genitalia, which could violate child pornography laws.

I don’t care how old the students are. If those accusations are true, that’s some disgusting behavior.

The Greenwood Village Police Department in Colorado launched an investigation after claims of bias-motivated harassment at the middle school, but they found no evidence to support the allegations, according to KDVR.

Cherry Creek School District claimed in a statement to KDVR that they took “swift action” to address the behavior and that the student in question who allegedly made the video is facing “significant discipline.”
