Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s recent campaign advertisement for the Houston Mayoral race is getting a ton of buzz — just not for the reasons she’d like.

Over the weekend, people began to notice something strange about a recent ad released by her campaign. At the end of the video, the ad asks people to vote “on or before Dec. 7.” The only problem: the Houston Mayoral runoff is Saturday, Dec. 9.

Mediate reported that the ad aired on Houston television markets in addition to running online.

Lee has so far beaten out over a dozen other candidates and will now face off against Texas State Senator John Whitmire, another Democrat.

This isn’t the first time Lee’s campaign has received less than stellar media attention: In October, audio of the Texas Congresswoman berating a staff member leaked.

The Root wrote about the clip earlier this year:

If you’re going to work in U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee’s office, you had better have your game tight because your girl does not have time for slackers. The Texas Democrat has been in the hot seat this week after an unverified audio clip of someone going in on staffers in a rant with too may cuss words to count was released by Current Revolt on October 21.

In the clip, which is just over a minute and a half long, the woman is heard giving one staffer a serious tongue lashing when he tells her he has to call someone else for a document she’s requesting. The woman goes on to drop multiple F-bombs and describe another staffer as a “fat ass stupid idiot.”

Lee publicly apologized for the rant, saying, “I have in the past fallen short of my own standards and there is no excuse for that.”
