Kanye West is back as the personality who will say whatever the hell he wants no matter the people he hurts in the process.

If you didn’t know, Ye recently released a new song, “Vultures,” which features Ty Dolla $ign and Lil Durk. Sonically, the track sounds pretty good. But when you get to the lyrics, some of them are questionable and in other cases, disrespectful.

Ye steps right into the antisemitism controversy on this track and (kind of) addresses it by rapping, “How can I be antisemitic? / I just fucked a Jewish bitch.”

Yeah I know, harsh words. But it’s on brand for the Chicago rapper. Earlier this year, he stated that he liked “Jewish people” again after watching the 2012 comedy film, 21 Jump Street, which features Jewish actor Jonah Hill.

In response to the track, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) told TMZ, “At a time of rising antisemitism worldwide, it’s disgusting to see Kanye once again use his platform to spew Jew hatred.” The ADL also claimed that Ye is an “unrepentant antisemite and clearly a misogynist.”

The criticism didn’t stop there.

The spokesperson of the American Jewish Committee, Richard Hirschhaut, also had something to say about the song, telling TMZ that this latest song is “particularly pathetic and sad.” He also stated, “To fuel the flames of antisemitism and promote such bile to his millions of followers, especially at this fraught and dangerous time for the Jewish community, is unforgivable.”

While the criticism is harsh, I doubt it will affect Kanye in the least. He’s literally been on a nonstop antisemitic rant since last year. After all the money he’s lost, the criticism he’s faced, and the fans he’s degraded, he hasn’t changed. So I don’t expect the controversy from this song to change him either.

This is who Kanye is and we have to get used to it for the better or worse.
